I’ve been on the move this month—attending trade shows and masterclasses to sharpen my skills and work toward Master Barber status by the end of the year. Every workshop has given me fresh techniques to bring back to the shop, whether it’s a cleaner fade or a more precise scissor-over-comb.
Just yesterday exemplified how no two days are ever the same here: I cut the hair of my eldest client yet (103 years young) and then, later that afternoon, gently trimmed the hair of an 11-day-old baby. Moments like those remind me why I love this craft.
